Chief Gaubert started his career in fire fighting with the Luling Volunteer Fire Department in 1972. He served as a Captain of a station for 12 years before moving to Hahnville.
Chief Gaubert joined Hahnville VFD in May of 1984 and was voted in on July 1, 1984. He was elected Fire Chief in 1986 and has served as Fire Chief until the present time.
He is a retired maintenance mechanic (26 years) for Shell Chemical and has received numerous trainiing throughout his industrial career in industrial fire fighting, incident command, and as an Emergency Medical Technician. He served as an EMT until 2004 and is now a First Responder.
He serves as a Parish Rapid Assessment Team (PRAT) member for St. Charles Parish, a

Dennis Robbins was voted into the Hahnville Vol Fire Department in August of 1979 and has served in many capacities for the department. He currently serves as President leading the department since 1995. Dennis also served the department as President from 1980 to 1984.
Mr. Robbins is an Industrial Arts (shop) teacher for Hahnville High School and will be retiring at the end of the 2008 school year after 34 years of dedication to teaching. Dennis has a Master Degree+30 and also teaches Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) and Architecture.. He is also ADDA Certified (American Design Drafting Association).
Mr. Robbins, with the help of Chief Gaubert, was instrumental in developing, obtaining accreditation from the school system and implementing a fire safety class for Hahnville High School. The students learn about fire protection utilizing the Essential of FireFighting manual as a text book with many hands on activities supported by the local parish fire fighters and industry as instructors. At the end of the year the students will receive an academic credic as a science elective.
